FCH 99M-PVA-GN

ADJUSTABLE CALIBRATED LEAK

HELIUM, ARGON

The FCH 99M-PVA-GN adjustable calibrated leak is intended for sensitivity checking and calibration of production and laboratory leak detectors operating by sniffing at atmospheric pressure.

In the same range:

For use without connection to an external cylinder, the FCH 99M-PVA-R150 adjustable leak has its own reservoir; it is available in particular for helium, argon, H2/N2, H2 and CO2.

Compatible with:

The FCH 99M-PVA-GN adjustable calibrated leak enables sensitivity testing of the TG EXPERT helium and argon leak detector.

  • Leak rate adjustable over a range depending on the applied pressure.
  • Designed to be supplied with gas in the “dry” vapour phase.
  • Connects directly to a gas cylinder fitted with a suitable pressure regulator, via a ¼ FL adapter valve.
  • Delivered with a calibration certificate and a pressure/leak rate curve.

Available for:

  • Helium, argon; other gases on request.
Use

The FCH 99M-PVA-GN is an adjustable continuous-flow leak that must be supplied with gas in the “dry” vapour phase.

Connects directly to a gas cylinder fitted with a suitable pressure regulator, via a ¼ FL adapter valve.

Leak rate

Adjustable leak rate, depending on model:

  • In the 10⁻⁵ cc/s range [±20%], depending on the applied pressure.
  • In the 10⁻⁴ cc/s range [±20%], depending on the applied pressure.

The adjustment range depends on the version of the leak and the type of gas.

Other values on request.

Gas

Helium, argon.

Other gases on request.

Delivered withLeak delivered with its calibration certificate valid for 1 year and a pressure/leak rate curve.

Usage tips

  • One gas per leak: the leak is calibrated for the gas stated on its certificate. As the leak rate depends on the properties of the gas, a leak calibrated with helium does not give the same value with another gas.
  • Operating range: the pressure is set within the range covered by the curve on the certificate, without extrapolation.
  • Leak rate unit: the value is given in cc/s, i.e. the volume of gas expanded to atmospheric pressure per second, a unit equivalent to mbar·l/s.
