Calibrated Gas

Calibrated gases, also known as calibration or reference gases, are used for the calibration and periodic verification of fixed and portable atmosphere control detectors. Their known reference concentration, in ppm, is used in particular to check the alarm thresholds of fixed refrigerant gas leak detectors. They are supplied in single-use, non-returnable disposable cylinders, with a certificate of analysis.

Calibrated gas or leak?

  • Calibrated gas: known concentration, in ppm, to calibrate and check fixed or portable atmosphere control gas detectors.
  • Test leak: checking the operation and detection capability of a leak detector before a job.
  • Calibrated leak: calibration and adjustment of workshop, laboratory or production leak detectors.
  • EN 14624 calibrated leak: certification and calibration of refrigerant gas leak detectors in accordance with the EN 14624 standard.
