CALIBRATION GAS CYLINDER

CALIBRATION GAS

R134a, CO2 / R744

The calibration gas cylinder is mainly used for the calibration, adjustment and periodic verification of fixed or portable atmosphere monitoring detectors.

In the same range:

For sensitivity verification of sniffer leak detectors, rather than concentration calibration in ppm, the FT 92-T test leak delivers a leak rate of 5 g/yr of HFC, HFO, HC refrigerant gases or H2/N2 tracer gas.

Calibration gas in a disposable, single-use cylinder, compliant with ISO 6141.

Available for the following gases:

R134a, CO2 / R744 and other gases on request.

Concentration:

  • R134a, value 500 or 1000 ppm
  • CO2, value 500 or 1000 ppm

Delivered with an analysis certificate.

Usage tips

  • Bump test and calibration: a bump test checks that the alarm works, not that the measurement is accurate. A strongly desensitised sensor can still trigger the alarm; only calibration reveals this drift.
  • Choice of regulator: a diffusion detector is calibrated using a fixed-flow regulator, at the flow rate recommended by the detector manufacturer, and a calibration cap. The gas must be applied until the reading stabilises, which can take several minutes with some sensors.
  • Calibration gas or calibrated leak: a leak is expressed as a flow rate (g/yr), a concentration in ppm. Calibration gas is used to calibrate atmosphere monitoring detectors, which measure a concentration in a room; sniffer leak detectors are checked with a test leak or a calibrated leak.
